Research work is an integral part of the educational process, both for faculty and for students, masters and doctoral students. Under the guidance of teachers who have extensive research experience, students will gain the skills to plan and conduct their own research already at the undergraduate level.
   Students and young scientists of KazNU have a unique opportunity to join the already undertaken research work, and can initiate and own projects. The greatest interest in the modern world are scientific and innovative projects. To further increase the innovation potential of the University of Medical and Biological cluster planned construction. Formed scientific, educational and innovation cluster (Neuquen), which will become effective environment for generating innovation, integration of science - education - innovative production and commercialization of research and excellence.
   During the last three years the KNU named after Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organizes and conducts the annual international scientific conference of students and young scientists "Farabi alemi" within the framework of the International Farabievskih readings. This conference has managed to prove itself as a discussion platform for students and young scientists, not only our country, but near and far abroad countries.
   The research work of the faculty is conducted in several directions:
