April 26, 2018, Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi. Candidate of Philosophy, senior lecturer of the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies Biyazdykova Kenzhegul Alimbekovna gave a lecture-presentation on "World Day Against Smoking". Within an hour, 1st year students of the specialty of culturology and members of the club "Madeniet.kz" discussed one of the main problems of the modern society of harm of smoking on health.

April 25, 2018 Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science 1st course students in the field of culturology held an open curatorial hour on the topic "Bolashak ba'dar: ruhani zharyrou". On April 23, 2018, students of the first year of the specialty of cultural studies conducted a cultural discussion of Mukhtar Shakhanov's book "The Misconception of Civilizations". The event was held within the framework of the project "100 books. During the event the students discussed the author's book from the culturological side.

April 11, 2018 students of the 1-course of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science specialty Culturology, held an open curatorial meeting on "Terrorism as a global threat" national security is the main political priority of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the open curatorial meeting, students discussed the topic "Terrorism as a global threat" and also exchanged interesting information with each other.

With the participation of young scientists and professors of the Department of Political Science and Political Technologies, the first meeting of the discussion club for young researchers was held. Judging by the fact that the hall was full, discussion platform is necessary. Qairat Moldashev presented "Discourse analysis in political science and international relations" and the doctoral candidate of our department Shugyla Kilybayeva offered her study "Political participation of youth" for discussion.

The guest of the regular meeting of the "club of philosophical meetings" of the Department of philosophy was the famous philosopher Kapyshev A. B. Was held an interesting conversation on the topic of the relationship between alive and intelligent, material and spiritual in the universe. Students, undergraduates and PhD students of the Department received comprehensive answers to their questions.

Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science focuses on the spiritual and moral education of university students. In the framework of this purposeful and systematic work, the department held a meeting with the champion of the Sydney Olympics, the famous son of the Kazakh people, a well-known public figure Yermakhan Ibraimov.

In the course of the pedagogical practice, students of the 4th year of the specialty religious studies Bolatkhanov A, Anet M, Abdiev M, Serikbolova A , Ziyakhanov A,. in the secondary school number 19 in the threshold of the anniversary of Medeu Pusurmanov passed a drawing competition at which the book exhibition "Book of My Youth" dedicated to "Karttar Zhyly" was held. We have provided 100 books for compulsory reading. Among the guests who arrived, not only elderly people, but also pupils of schools, teachers and parents did not remain without attention.

There is became a tradition for the Department of Philosophy to celebrate world philosophy Day with special events. This year it was dedicated to the presentation of the translation into the Kazakh language the book of the famous scientist-philosopher O. A. Segizbayev "History of the Kazakh philosophy". The meeting which brought together well-known philosophers, young people, teachers and relatives of the scientist, was very interesting and informative.
