In an article, "Course towards the future: modernization of Kazakhstan’s identity" the President of the country N. Nazarbayev, speaking about the new global reality, noted that "the public consciousness requires not only the elaboration of principles of modernization, but also specific projects that would allow to meet the challenges of the time." In this work, special attention is paid to the academic community and universities.

Today al-Farabi KazNU actively promotes the program "Course towards the future: modernization of Kazakhstan’s identity", also implements specific projects. One of these projects is "Men zhastarga senemin!" today has become more popular among young people and opens for them new horizons for successful implementation.

The Gala forum V Republican Patriotic festival of student's "Men zhastarga senemin!" dedicated to the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at Kazakh National University. The forum aimed to increase patriotism and civic responsibility of young people for the future of Kazakhstan, and also to involve youth in the process of promoting the principles of modernization of the public consciousness. The youth is the future of the country, and so the young generation is the most clear and close to the main areas of the article of the President, Leader of the nation "Course towards the future: modernization of Kazakhstan’s identity".

This year the V Republican Patriotic festival for students "Men zhastarga senemin!" is supported by the Fund Aliya Nazarbayeva "Zhandanu Alemi", youth wing "Zhas Otan", Union of writers of Kazakhstan and akimat of Almaty. The contest was held in two stages, which involved more than 1500 thousand participants in four categories: competition of student innovative social projects "My real contribution to the innovative development of the country"; competition of student poetic civil-Patriotic works "Men zhastarga senemin!" and competition of a Patriotic song "Mangilik El – muratym!". As noted the organizers of the forum, for participation in the festival was filed more than 1.7 thousand applications from students from 69 universities of the country. This year in the finals of the fifth Republican Patriotic Gala - forum "Men zhastarga senemin!" was selected best creative works of 400 talented students from all regions of Kazakhstan.

The works of the contestants were evaluated by an expert jury composed of renowned poet and the chief editor of the Republican magazine "Akikat" Amankhan Alim, chief editor of the newspaper "Aikyn" Nurtore Zhusip, composer Vladimir Pitercev, General Director of the Fund for specialized economic zones Autonomous cluster "Innovation technology Park "Alatau" Sanzhar Kettebekov, the Chairman of the Board of the Fund Aliya Nazarbayeva "Zhandanu Alemi" Murat Isakhanov and Chairman of the branch of youth wing "Zhas Otan" Madi Akhmet.

During the forum were shown a video about the activities of the head of state and the forces of Amateur art activities of the University were shown the concert.

After the long meeting the jury's decisions were announced the winners in four categories. They were awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts provided by the sponsors and partners KazNU. The main prize was a grants of al-Farabi KazNU for one year. So, the author of the best student's innovative socially significant project "My real contribution to the innovative development of the country" became a student of M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University, Musrepova Zerdegul. 

In the nomination contest of student essays on "What can I do for the prosperity of my country?" won the student of the M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University, Nuku Zhambyl.

Winner of the poetic civil-Patriotic works "Men zhastarga senemin!" was recognized student of M. H. Dulati Taraz state University, Zhuldyz Moldagaliyeva.

The best song and vocals in the competition for performers of Patriotic songs "Mangilik El – muratym!" became the student of M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University, Sidikova Hassan. The best submissions will be published in the special collection of student work.
