Al-Farabi KazNU held a conference dedicated to the 70^th anniversary of the UN.

KazNU held a scientific-practical conference “The stronger UN. Better world", dedicated to the 70^th anniversary of the United Nations, under the sign of the commitment of UN peace, development and security. The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UN office in Kazakhstan.

The conference was opened by the rector of the University G. Mutanov. In the conference took part the Director of the UNESCO cluster office in Almaty S. Lazarev, Consul General of the USA in Kazakhstan T. Granchik, Consul General of China in Almaty H. Wei, adviser of the Russian Consulate in Almaty T. Munchaev, extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the UN A. Arystanbekova and other distinguished guests.

Scientific-practical conference conducted its work in four sections: "The Maintenance of peace and security in the world", "Sustainable development and agenda Post-2015", "Human rights and cultural and humanitarian cooperation", "Cooperation of Kazakhstan and the UN."
