Opening of the “Turksoy” Chair in KazNU.

At the faculty of Oriental studies oKazNU, with the support of the international organization "TURKSOY" within the program "Almaty – the capital of Islamic culture 2015", took place the opening ceremony of the Department and the cultural center "TURKSOY". The event was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by representatives of the Embassies and Consulates of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan in Kazakhstan, ethnic and cultural associations of Almaty in the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan, as well as scientists, teachers and students.

International organization of Turkic culture"TURKSOY" was created by Turkic-speaking countries on July 12, 1993 in Almaty. It consists of 16 members, is a sovereign state, Federal entities and Autonomous regions. The multifaceted activities of the organization contributes not only to strengthening cultural exchange and cooperation within the member countries "TURKSOY", but also to peace, harmony and stability on the Earth.
