The US Ambassador delivered a lecture at the KazNU.

The Ambassador of the United States of America in Kazakhstan George A. Krol gave a lecture to the students and teachers. The theme of the meeting was the development of bilateral relations and academic cooperation between Kazakhstan and the USA.

Guest in his lecture spoke about the history of cooperation between the US and Kazakhstan, as well about the U.S. diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan. "Over the past twenty years our countries have built good relationship based on mutual respect and understanding. Kazakhstan and the U.S. have common strategic objectives, such as sustainable development, peace and security in the region, economic prosperity and the spread of nuclear weapons," said Krol. He underlined that the objectives of the US mission on preserving peace on the Earth today are in tune with the projects of the UN and UNESCO. In this regard, he praised the activities of KazNU as a Global hub of the UN on sustainable development are successfully engaging the academic community in the search for solutions to urgent problems of humanity. Also he was impressed by the students ' active participation in KazNU activities conducted under the auspices of the UN, including the world conference "Model UN".
