XXVII international Olympiad in Informatics

Al-Farabi KazNU hosted the XXVII international Olympiad in Informatics among students.
In Dzholdasbekov Palace of Students maintained a solemn closing ceremony of the Olympiad. The winners were awarded with medals and gifts. The competition was held in KazNU, it was attended by 324 students from 83 countries of the world.
Following the competition, the Kazakhstan team won three silver and one bronze medals and took 8th place in the team standings. International Olympiad in Informatics was held under the auspices of UNESCO and since 1989 it is one of the most prestigious intellectual competitions high school students around the world. The competition of young talents was attended by representatives from 85 countries around the world.
The competition was held for 7 days. The program included the opening and closing of the tournament, practice round and two rounds of the competition. Between tours organizes forums, conferences, round tables, as well as excursions to cultural and historical places. After two days of competition, the undisputed champion was a student from South Korea JI HAK Yoon, who scored 600 points out of 600 possible.
