A solemn event devoted to the celebrations of Alumni Day will be held on May 26, 2018 in KazNU al-Farabi.

From 10 am, graduates of different generations will gather under the “Mangylik El” Arch, erected on September 1, 2016 on the principles of public-private partnership, with the participation of university graduates.

The holiday will begin with the opening of the magnificent fountains of "Tai Kazan", symbolizing the ideas of unity and prosperity and the fountain "Mangylik El" in Al-Farabi Square, an outstanding thinker, the Second Teacher of Mankind, whose name our university carries.

Then, in accordance with the tradition, guests will lay flowers at the monument to Abu Nasr al-Farabi and the monument to Academician Umirbek Dzholdasbekov, also erected by grateful graduates.

The grand meeting will be held in U.A. Joldasbekov Hall. Participants will listen to the university rector, Academician G.M. Mutanov’s report and the account of KazNU Alumni Association.

Continuing the glorious traditions of society's involvement in the development of education, science and culture, KazNU Alumni Association will announce a campaign for the erection of the Mangylik El Stella architectural complex in KazGU on voluntary contributions on the principles of public-private partnership. This stella will be solemnly opened in 2019 during the celebrations of the 85th anniversary of KazNU and the 25th anniversary of the Alumni Association with the participation of sponsors and the public During the Alumni Day the best graduates of 2018 will be awarded with the Certificates of Honor , the departments will be presented with valuable gifts. The program also includes a film about the achievements of Alma Mater and the concert of the Almaty Symphony Orchestra.

From 13 pm the meetings with the graduates will continue at the faculties.

By tradition, the Graduates 'Day will end with an evening Graduates' Ball in Al-Farabi Library.
