“The Third Olympiad on Local History and Tourism among Secondary School Students in Almaty and Almaty Region”
On March 28, 2015, annual regional Olympiad on local history and tourism among secondary school students in Almaty and Almaty region was held. The competition was attended by 10 schools: Grammar school No.152, MSI School No.187, Altynsarin Gymnasium No.159, MSI Sharipov School No.16, Baitursynov Grammar school No.139, Nazarbayev Intellectual School, MSI Lyceum No.163, Zhansugurov Gymnasium No.130, School No.117.
Annual regional competition on local history and tourism among secondary school students in Almaty and Almaty region is held by "ZhasTur" Club of Tourism and Sports Development in Kazakhstan with the support of the Department of Recreation Geography and Tourism of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences to identify the level of theoretical training, skills, creative initiative and leadership qualities of future high school graduates. In the course of persistent struggle, the Olympiad winners were members of "Alem" team who represented Altynsarin Gymnasium No.159.
Winners, prizewinners and participants of the Olympiad were awarded with diplomas and prizes from sponsors.
