Faculty of pre-university education (FPUE) was established in 2011 on the basis of the preparatory faculty for foreign citizens, which was founded in 1985. History of the Faculty is part of the eighty-year history of our beloved university.

The al-Farabi has always maintained close contacts in the field of education with more than one hundred countries around the world. At present, the University continues to develop and improve their international relations, he confidently integrated into the European educational space.

Over the years the Department has trained more than 7000 foreigners from more than 100 countries around the world: representatives of Kazakh Diaspora from near and far abroad, foreign students on international exchange student program, students of foreign companies, embassies, international organizations. Faculty cooperates with embassies and consulates in different countries: USA, Japan, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, South Korea, Mongolia, Spain, Turkey, the People's Republic of China, Iran and others.

Since 2001, the Department successfully implements two presidential program since 2001, more than 2,000 students, representatives of foreign Kazakh Diaspora prepared to enter the universities of Kazakhstan; since 2010 more than 420 students from the IRA were trained to enroll in colleges and universities of Kazakhstan. Also on the faculty is prepared to comprehensive testing and uniform national testing.

At present, the Department of Pre-University Education is a single scientific and educational complex.

In the teaching staff of the Faculty employs more than 150 people, including 5 PhDs, 3 professors, 30 PhDs.
