THEDIPLOMATIC TRANSLATION CHAIR

The diplomatic translation chair of International Relations Faculty of KazNU named after al-Farabi was formed in 2011 by the merger of two existing departments - the Department of foreign languages and the Department of modern Oriental languages. Today, the Department has 29 faculty members, including 1 Professor, 1 doctor of philological Sciences, 6 candidates and 22 senior teachers.

Specialization reflects the specificity of the international relations faculty: a study of foreign languages is closely related to the study of state and political structure of the country of studied language, history, culture and traditions. The chair of diplomatic translation provides language training of students of the faculty of international relations respectively specialization students in the areas of international relations, "international law", "regional" and "global economy" and the teaching of two foreign languages. The Department provides professionally - oriented training of the Kazakh language as the state language, as well as English, Arabic, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, German, Turkish and French as the main and second foreign language.
