Chair history
The Department of World History, Historiography and Source Studies prepares specialists in three areas - world history, archival and document science, library science at three levels (bachelors, masters, doctoral studies).

The agreement on social partnership under the dual education program in the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been extended until 2028.
Changes have been made to the directions of work of the branch of the department in the Presidential Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the strategic plan of the university.

The directions of work of the branch of the department in the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan have been changed according to the strategic plan of the university.
Opened on the basis of school №181 of the city of Almaty "Methodical office of the Faculty of History of KazNU" for students of the Faculty of History.
In order to provide quality services to students, the department attracts foreign scientists with an H- index of at least 2.
