The Department of General linguistics and European languages of the faculty of Philology and world languages actively continues cooperating with foreign universities around the world directed by prof. Madieva's . From 19 to 23 February 2019 Professor Sze Wing Tang, the head of the Department of Chinese language and literature of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Director of the Research center of the Chinese language, visited the university. Professor Sze Wing Tang is also the Director of the linguistic Research centre in Hong Kong. His research interests include the study of Chinese syntax, the study of Chinese dialects, the problems of comparative and comparative grammar, which fully agrees with the directions of the scientific research of the Department of General linguistics and European languages. |

From 8 to 16 January, 2019 the professor of Seoul University, A.A. Akbarov conducted the seminar on the topic: "Political Strategies and Language Policies: Shaping Linguistic Ideology for National Co-Existence". The head and teaching staff of the chair of European languages and general linguistics took an active part in the seminar. |

In the academic year of 2018-2019 the students from Beijing University came to study at the Faculty of Philology and World Languages. Mutanov the lecturer from Leicester University, Prof. Agnetha Swalberg came to the university to deliver the lectures for the teachers, students, master students and PhD students.
