In Al-Farabi University youth wing of the "Zhas Otan" was created in the form of public association in January 2014. Each year, under the leadership of the youth wing "Zhas Otan" within the university to maintain the patriotism, and promote the development of human knowledge for the improvement and development of their country, it is landscaping, beautification carried out patriotic celebrations.

The objectives of the YW "Jas Otan" are:

- the involvement of young people in the process of building a democratic, socially just society;

- Creating a sense of youth Kazakhstan patriotism and sense of civic responsibility and respect for the national symbols of the Republic, cultural heritage, language and traditions of the people of Kazakhstan;

- assist in the implementation of the state youth policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan;

- participation in the protection of the political, economic, social and other rights of the youth;

- involving young people in the process of strengthening the economic, social, deepening democratization of Kazakh society, preservation of political stability, harmony and sustainable development;

- Fostering youth culture, improve the educational, intellectual, and professional level of young people;

- health promotion, education, and labor;

- promoting youth entrepreneurship, assistance in job placement of young people in Kazakhstan;

- Support and implementation of socially important initiatives of young people;

- contribute to the improvement of living conditions, spiritual and physical perfection of youth, sports development, tourism, and promote healthy lifestyles among young people;

- education of young people in a spirit of respect, care and compassion for the older generation;

- promoting the competent authorities in the prevention and control of youth and juvenile delinquency, drug addiction, substance abuse and other deviant manifestations of the youth;

- search, support and promotion of talented young people;

- To organize and support research, outreach youth in various fields of science and education, culture and the arts, the environment;

- promoting and explaining to the population problems of "Nur Otan" and YW "Jas Otan", defined by their program documents, involvement in YW "Jas Otan" of young people who support its goals and objectives;

- implementation of other tasks in line with the main objective of  YW "Jas Otan" not inconsistent with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As part of the program "Youth - Fatherland!" currently are realized more than forty concepts and a lot of projects, such as "Youth personnel reserve", "With diploma - to the village", "We speak in Kazakh."

The youth wing "Jas Otan" strives only to the benefit of the people. As our president said, "Let's build our future together"!
