Center of career guidance "Applicant" was established by rector's order № 162 dated 08.05.2012 y.

The basic direction of activity of the CPW "Applicant" – providing educational and consultative services to students, graduates of educational institutions, to identify and support gifted students and career guidance.

The main tasks of career guidance Center:

• Organization of pre-University training and vocational guidance with students

• Organization of additional education

• Publication of materials about the departments and specialties in the media– PR, promotion

• Establish a close relationship KazNU with departments of education, schools, the establishment of working with the parent community

• Organization and conduct of Republican "Olympiad of al-Farabi"

• Increase of level of preparation of students in basic core subjects for successful completion of the UNT and CTA work with gifted students with the aim to attract them to KazNU

• The organization of production and realization of the magazine for students Al-Farabi.kz"

• Participation in various fairs ("Education and science of the XXI century", "Education and career ", etc.)

• Career guidance during the Zhautykov Olympiad, the competition of Dzholdasbekov research projects

• Participation in competition of scientific projects students RSPC "Daryn"

• Organization of operation of "Virtual Academy students"

• Conducting open days University

• Organizing and conducting tours, career guidance lectures for pupils of town schools on the basis of the Treasury in the field of University

• Consulting work and duty of PLS during operation of the admissions Committee

• Organization of the selection Committee.
