Innovation projects
For the past several years Al-Farabi Kazakh National University realizes a practical implementation of the main priorities identified in the message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev to the people of Kazakhstan "The Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness" on modernization of Kazakhstan with creation of a new model of economic growth.
With the support of the MES RK on the basis of many years of experience of research, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University continues to implement the project on creation of Innovation cluster within the framework of the Program of public-private partnership aimed at improving the scientific and innovation activities through integration of education, science and innovation production.
By establishing close cooperation between science and education and industry, the University realizes scientific and innovation projects related to development of an open communication platform for assessing the human resources capacity of enterprises in the country, organizing and conducting computer tests to obtain technical data on urban traffic, and also with the creation of a software tool design geotechnological range and calculation of optimal modes of operation for mineral deposits, developed by the method of underground leaching, etc.
University scientists take an active part in competitions for grants for commercialization of technologies conducted by JSC "NATR", JSC "Science Foundation" and the Government of Kazakhstan jointly with the World Bank. As a result of the competitive selection under the Grant Program for the SR and JR groups within the framework of the project "Stimulation of Productive Innovations" carried out by the World Bank, the projects implemented by university scientists on the creation of high-tech products have received funding for further introduction into production, corresponding spin-offs were created.
