April 20, 2018 at 10:00 in the 2nd meeting room of the al-Farabi library the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, faculty of philosophy and political science, Department of philosophy and the Center al-Farabi are holding an international scientific-practical conference "al-Farabi Kazakh and world philosophy, culture and civilization" dedicated to the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Professor of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, Doctor of philosophy Zhakypbek Altayev.

The conference with the purpose of realization of the program of the President "View into the future: the modernization of public consciousness", as well as in the framework of the V international Farabi readings would work in the following areas: the Heritage of al-Farabi and the dialogue of civilizations; Social, cultural and religious identity of the Turkic world; Kazakh philosophy: origins – traditions – perspectives; Modernization of public consciousness: spirituality, education and political processes of modern Kazakhstan.

The national code of Kazakhs is concluded in the doctrine of al-Farabi. Altaev Zhakypbek during the long years of his teaching activities has done a great job of promoting among the people the works of the great scientist. Zhakipbek Altayevich in his work paid special attention to the works of al-Farabi, is a well-known and respected scientist who made an invaluable contribution to the glorification of the name of the great thinker in his native land. Altaev Zhakypbek during his teaching activities prepared and issued 30 candidates of Science, 9 doctors of Science, including 3 PhDs. This conference is held in honor of the 70th anniversary of the scientist, who devoted himself to the service of the people. The international scientific and practical conference will be attended by the rector of KazNU Galym Mutanov and the teaching staff of the University, scientists, philosophers from near and far abroad and leading educational institutions of the country.
