At the Faculty of Oriental Studies of al-Farabi KazNU from March 5 to 9, 2018, the Week of the Arabic Language is held. Within the framework of this cultural event the following activities are held:

March, 5:

13.30-14.30. Solemn opening of the week of the Arabic language.

"Arab family traditions" report of the professor of the Nur-Mubarak University.

Watching the film on the Arabic art work "Kalila and Dimna".

March, 6:

14.00-15.00. Report on the history of Arab countries.

15.00-16.30. Watching the film in Arabic "Zahir Baybars".

March, 7:

10.00-13.00.

1. Competition in the Arabic language in two groups:

The first group: a contest among the 1st and 2nd year students.

The second group: competition among 3, 4 courses and undergraduates.

First 3 places in each group are encouraged with cash prizes in the total amount of 240 thousand tenge with the support of the Center for Culture and Education of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Almaty and the Faculty of Oriental Studies:

1 place in each group is awarded 50,000 tenge

2 place in each group is awarded 40,000 tenge

3 place in each group is awarded 30,000 tenge

2. Introduction to Arabic Cooking

March, 9:

Solemn rewarding of the winners of the competition of the Arabic language.

Closing ceremony of the "Week of the Arabic Language".

Guests of the event: Director of the Center for Culture and Education of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Almaty, Professor Hemdan Ibrahim, professors of Egyptian universities, rector of the Nur-Mubarak University.
