Ladies and Gentlemen!

The UN Assistance Center on International Relations Department of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, jointly with the United Nations Information Office in Almaty, invite you to participate in the round "Human rights in modern world: basic approaches, problems and prospects". On December 10, the international community observes the Human Rights Day. It was on this day in 1948 that the UN General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which is the first international act on human rights. For the first time, this day was celebrated in 1950 after the General Assembly adopted the resolution 423 (V) calling on all States and interested organizations to appoint December 10 as the Human Rights Day. The initiative of organizing the round table belongs to the 2nd course students of English group of the international relations faculty who are convinced that it is the active involvement of young people in the discussion on the protection and promotion of human rights that will contribute to the solution of the problem at all levels.
