The United Nations Assistance Center of DIR, al-Farabi KazNU in conjunction with the UN-Women multi-country office in Kazakhstan invites you to participate in the «Gender equality and the eradication of violence: the empowerment of women in the modern world» round table held within the framework of the «16 days against violence» project on December 5, 2017.

Plans made within the framework of the round table:

• Speeches by the representatives of the UN-Women multi-country office in Kazakhstan;
• Speeches by representatives of the UN Department of Public Information in Almaty;
• Speeches by representatives of IOM in Almaty;
• Presentation of 4^th year students of the FIR, KazNU named after al-Farabi on «The Role and Place of Women in the Modern World»;
• Presentation of 4^th year students on the results of a sociological survey on violence against women, held in different parts of Almaty;
• Summing up the results of essay and video contests;
