At the Faculty of Oriental Studies of  al-Farabi Kazakh National University, an international scientific and methodological conference "Actual Problems of Oriental Studies and Teaching Methods for the Oriental Language" will be held, dedicated to the 40th anniversary of Arabic Studies and the 60th anniversary,  candidate of philology, associate professor Atabai Batish.

The event was organized by the Department of the Middle East and South Asia, Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Atabay Batish, candidate of philology, associate professor of the Middle East and South Asia Department, made a significant contribution to the development of Arabic philology not only at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, but also in Kazakhstan as a whole. She is a well-known scientist, the author of over 100 publications, including monographs and teaching aids in the Arabic language. The 60th anniversary of Atabay Batish coincided with the 40th anniversary of the opening of the Arab branch, therefore this international scientific and methodical conference is devoted to the above events.

The proposed topics of the conference reflect various aspects of Oriental studies and Arabic studies.

The guests of the international conference will be representatives of the Egyptian Cultural Center at the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt, rector of the Egyptian Islamic Cultural University Nur-Mubarak, teachers and students of other higher educational institutions.

At the book exhibition will be presented materials candidate of philology, assocuate professor Atabay Batish and other teachers of the Faculty of Oriental Studies in Kazakh, Russian and Arabic.
