November 10, 2017 at 17:00 p.m. at the faculty of pre-university education KazNU named after al-Farabi there will be meeting with the General Consulate of China in Almaty, and also Chinese students studying in universities in Almaty.

The purpose of this event is to expand further cooperation between the al-Farabi KazNU and universities of the People's Republic of China, which includes a wide range of activities: exchange of students and teaching staff, implementation of joint scientific projects, invitation of leading professors. To date, the majority of foreign students’ contingent in KazNU is from China, which is more than 80%. Annually at the faculty of pre-university education more than 100 students from China pass language training for admission to higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The meeting will also discuss the issues of social adaptation of Chinese students in Kazakhstan, the development of programs for external academic mobility and the deepening of interethnic and inter-confessional dialogue.

Within the framework of the meeting it is planned to hold a concert organized by the forces of Chinese students studying in the universities of Almaty.

As the honorary guests of the evening will be the First Vice-Rector of al-Farabi KazNU Burkitbaev M.M., Director of the Department of image politics and public relations of al-Farabi KazNU Dusebaev D.K., Head of the Confucius Institute of al-Farabi KazNU Asilbekov R.U., General Consul of the People's Republic of China in Almaty Zhang Wei, General Deputy Consul of China Guo Sinciao, Consul for Culture and Education Wang Zingping, Consul for Security Affairs Lu Yonggang, Vice-Consul Huang Zian, as well as invited guests from different universities in Almaty.
