Awards and achievements of chair

	In 2022, the educational program «Russian Philology» as part of the group ofeducational programs «Philology» at all levels (bachelor's, master's, doctoral) took1st place in the IAAR rating. The educational program «8D01704-Russianlanguage and literature» also took 1st place.
	The senior lecturer of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature, PhD Demchenko Alena Sergeevna was awarded a state scientific scholarship in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Prizes in the field of science and state scientific scholarships" and on the basis of the decision of the final meeting of the Competition Commission for reviewing materials and preparing decisions for awards in 2022.
	Dean of the Faculty of Philology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Doctor of Philology, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Bayan Umirbekovna Dzholdasbekova was awarded the gold medal "Birlik" for her contribution to the development of intercultural dialogue, civil peace and harmony, rapprochement and mutual enrichment of national cultures and friendly relations between states, strengthening the authority of Kazakhstan in the world community. The order on awarding was signed by the Leader of the nation Nursultan Nazarbayev. The Medal of "Unity of the People of Kazakhstan" ("Birlik") is a state award of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the highest sign of public recognition and encouragement of Kazakhstani and foreign citizens, organizations and enterprises, civil society institutions for their merits in strengthening unity and stability.
	Our department received the 1st place in the specialties "Philology" and "Russian language and literature" from the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (NAAR). Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education awarded the specialty "Russian language and literature" 1 place in Master's and 2 place in Undergraduate.
	ACQUIN, the Institute of Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance (Germany) issued Al-Farabi Kazakh National University quality certificates for the specialty "Philology".

	Professor Tumanova A.B. took part in the International Conference at the RUDN University, Russian Federation (December 2017).
	Professor Salkhanova Zh.K. has completed the training course “Quality Management in higher Education in Germany” at the University of Düsseldorf, Germany (November-December 2017).
	Professor Salkhanova Zh. H. took part in the International Symposium at the University of Tsukuba, Japan (May 2017).

	Professor Zhanat Khamarovna Salkhanova - "The best teacher of the university" in 2016!
	In the "Best Department of the University" in 2014 the Department of Russian Philology, Russian and World Literature won third place.
	Zholdasbekova Bayan Umirbekovna, corresponding member of NAS RK, PhD, Professor, Head of the Department of Russian Philology and World Literature. At the year 2014 - winner of the grant "The best teacher of the university".
	Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Philology, Professor Dzholdasbekova Bayan Umirbekovna awarded the badge "БІЛІМ БЕРУ ІСІНІҢ ҚҰРМЕТТІ ҚЫЗМЕТКЕРІ (Honourable worker of education)" for outstanding achievements in the field of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (license number 185 dated May 29, 2014).
	Speciality "5V020500 - Russian philology" ranked second among undergraduate majors among the Republic of Kazakhstan universities.
	The team of Russian philology and world literature took 1st place at the City interuniversity competition connoisseurs of Russian literature "Language is the confession of the people", dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan (April 14, 2015).
	Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Philology, Professor Dzholdasbekova Bayan Umirbekovna awarded a diploma in the nomination "The woman - a scientist" in 2014.
