Faculty of Oriental Studies, Department of Chinese Studies and Confucius Institute at al-Farabi KazNU, organized a gala evening on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, as well as the World Day of the Confucius Institute. Guests of the evening: Director of the Center for International Programs of Al-Farabi KazNU Abdiman Zh.O., Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Aidarbayev Zh.S., Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Paltore Y.M., Director of the Confucius Institute at KazNU Asylbekov R.O., Chief Deputy Consul of the People's Republic of China in Almaty Guo Xinqiao, Vice-Consul for Culture and Education of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty, Wang Qingping; member of the Board of the National Cultural Center "Birlik" Niu Yu Chin. At the opening ceremony, the director of the Center for International Programs of the al-Farabi KazNU Abdiman J.O. congratulated everyone on the 69th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The main deputy consul of the Chinese People's Republic in Almaty, Guo Xinqiao, noted that the teaching of the Chinese language occupies a special place in the Faculty of Oriental Studies, and also expressed gratitude for the organized event on behalf of the Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty. At the evening with the concert numbers were students of the first year of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, students of the Confucius Institute, students of the International Kazakh-Chinese Language College, students KazNPU named after Abay. The students performed songs in Kazakh, Chinese and English, danced, demonstrated Chinese martial art of kungfu and taichi, special attention should be given to the production prepared by the students of the first year - "I love Chinese", in which were demonstrated all the ups and downs of the student, who studies Chinese.
