Department of Management and Marketing was formed in 2011 through the merger of "Management and Business" and "Marketing and Commerce" departments. Department of Management and Business was formed in 1995 and headed by Corresponding Member (A.M.) of National Academy of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor K.N.Naribaev. Department of Marketing and Commerce was established in January, 1995 in order to increase the level of training in marketing. The department has a great educational, scientific, innovative and productive potential, which is effectively used to prepare highly qualified specialists according to the most modern educational approaches.
Department of Management and Marketing had been working in accordance to the plans and resolutions of the Academic Council of al-Farabi KazNU and the Higher School of Economics and Business. Activity of the Department is aimed at the implementation of the Law "On Education" of the Republic of Kazakhstan and resolutions of the Government of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In the first half of this year the work of Management and Marketing Department had been aimed at the implementation of the Strategy of the University and Development Programs of the Higher School of Economics and Business.
