Josef Kuruc is the well-known scientist, the author of numerous textbooks and manuals in nuclear chemistry, radioecology and chemistry of high energy, the professor of the Bratislava University, is going to give a series of lectures in radiochemistry, radioecology and radiobiology at faculty of chemistry and chemical technology from 1.XII. to 12.XII.2011 y.  

On Monday , December , 12th, 2011 in an audience №321 the faculty methodological seminar will take place from 11.00 to 13.00, on which performance of professor J.Kuruc entitled as : «About the organization of educational process at Chemistry Department of the Bratislava University» is planned.

Eremin Vadim Vladimirovich is the well-known scientist, the author of numerous textbooks and manuals in chemistry, the winner of the President Award of the Russian Federation in the field of education, doctor of physical-mathematical sciences, the professor of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, is going to give a series of lectures in theoretical chemistry at chemical faculty from 31.X. to 11.XI.2011 y. On Thursday, November, 3rd, 2011 in an audience #321 the faculty methodological seminar will take place from 15.00 to 18.00, on which performance of professor V.V.Eremin on theme: «About the organization of educational process at Chemistry Department of the Lomonosov Moscow State University» is planned.All interested persons are invited.  Professors of chair of general and inorganic chemistry Abramova G. V and Romanova S.M. have taken active part in the work of 19^th International Mendeleev Congress. Congress work was lasted from September, 26 till September, 30th, 2011 in the Central concert hall of Volgograd (plenary sessions) and halls of universities (work of sections №№ 1-8, sessions of round tables and congress РХО of D.I.Mendeleyev): the Volgograd technical university (ВолгГТУ), the Volgograd state socially-pedagogical university (ВГСПУ), the Volgograd academy of civil service (ВАГС), the Volgograd planetarium and the Volgograd medical university (ВолгГМУ).

On 19^th September of 2011 professor of chair of general and inorganic chemistry, Winner of State Award of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dr.Sci.Tech. Baeshova Azhar Kospanovna by invitation of “Kazekology” company took part in the work of the Round table as the independent expert. The round table has been dated for the next expanded session of Interdepartmental Coordination council of representatives of the Ministry of environment protection, the oil and gas Ministry, "Tengizshevroil" company, Atyrau region government and was devoted to discussion of State standards of definition of the maintenance of sulfur and its connections in the air, water environment and in soil. Employees of "Kazekoproject", «Kazekoanaliz”, KazNTU of oil and gas in the Satpaev’s name, joint-stock company« the Kazakh institute of oil and gas », joint-stock company« the Center of sciences about the Earth, metallurgy and enrichment » took part also in the work of the Round table.

 Rector of Almaty Technological University, academician K.S.Kulazhanov has founded grants to students of faculty.   Graduate of chemical faculty, rector of Almaty Technological University, academician Kulazhanov Kuralbek Sadibaevich the second year has successively founded grants of a name of B.A.Beremzhanov and D.V.Sokolskii to the students of our faculty. The decision of the Academic council of faculty the owner of the grant of a name B.A.Beremzhanov became the student of 2-nd year Kaidar Aigerim, grants of a name of D.V.Sokolskii – master student of 1-st year Belgibaeva Albina. Support Kuralbek Sadibaevich of students of faculty as a member of Association of graduates KazNU, is an example for other our graduates.

We congratulate students of 1-st year on achievement in sport!  By results of competitions on «Cup of the Rector - 2011» among students of 1-st year the command of faculty of chemistry and chemical technology has taken 3-rd place on a chess and mini-football.

“Саз әлемінің сардары – Ахмет Жұбанов”.   At the faculty of chemistry and chemical technology associate professor Birimzhanova Z.S. with students from the HO-201 and HO 202 tops have carried out the open curator meeting entitled as “Саз әлемінің сардары – Ахмет Жұбанов”.

From October, 21 to October, 28th, 2011 the lectures will be given by Dr. Johannes Theodorus Cornelis, doctor of chemical sciences from Wageningen university on the theme “Soil remediation” in the Center of physical-chemical method of analysis and investigation al-Farabi KazNU, 412. Students, teachers, employees and PhD are invited.       

International Symposium

A team of Chemical Physics and Materials Science participated in the International Symposium «XI International Symposium of Self-Propagating High Temperature Synthesis», held from 5 to 9september 2011 in Athens (Greece).

 From November 28 to December 6, 2011 Dr. V.V. Khutoryanskiy (Reader in Pharmaceutical Materials and Pharmacy Director for Postgraduate Studies of the University of Reading, UK) will give a series of lectures for PhD-students, undergraduates and professors at Department of Chemistry and the chemical technology in the auditorium 516, under the theme "Polymers for biomedical purposes".
